can someone please tell me some facts about bronzer/blush and body shimmer?
like how can i use it, what does it do etc.
i need helpWhat does body shimmer and bronzer/blush do?
Body shimmer I don't know much about, as I've never been a fan of it, but basically those I've tried make your skin subtly sparkly. Most I've seen are spritzes or lotions you rub in.
Bronzer is to make you appear to have a tan, more or less. It's supposed to give you a glowing complexion, as if you've spent a lot of time in the sun. Usually a powder, but comes in liquid forms. It can be used in place of blush, as a complement to blush (more subtly), or all over if used lightly. Less is more, as it does what it says: makes your skin ';bronze';.
Blush is great and nearly a must-have if you use powder or foundation. These tend to cover your natural blush, which can make you look very unnatural. Though mainly applied to one's cheekbones, it can also be used very subtly (I stress: VERY, and these don't work for everyone) on other places such as your nose, chin, and just under your eyebrows. Mostly a powder, but I've recently become a fan of the Dream Matte Mousse blush. Like bronzer, a little goes a long way.
Hope this was what you were looking for. :DWhat does body shimmer and bronzer/blush do?
Bronzer makes your face appear more tanned. You apply it on your face in the areas the sun would hit- nose, forehead and chin. You shouldn't try to change your overall face colour with bronzer, just use it in those areas to give a sunkissed look.
Blush is used on the cheeks to give them a touch of colour. It helps prevent you from looking washed out and brings out your cheekbones. Apply it on the apples of the cheeks and blend along the cheekbones towards the ear.
Body shimmer is used to give the skin on your body a shimmery glow. You can use it on your arms, legs or chest. It's more of a special occassion, evening look.
Check this out. She goes through how bronzer can give your face definition. I tried it and it looks really good.
I use body shimmer to give me a healthy glow, that's all really. And i think skin that looks slightly tanned can make you look slimmer. I use the boots 'sun kissed' one as its easy to apply and you can wash off any mistakes, mix it with moisturiser to make it easier to apply. Start with a small amount and build it up rather than use loads at once. I use it on my legs to give them some definition (and because im really pale skinned) they do different shades so if your fair go for the light, or if you are tanned choose medium. I use gloves because although it does wash off it stains your hands! They do a shimmer one, which i use on nights out. Or a matt that i use for other times.
Just experiment, thats all i did, Good luck Xx
